| Abstract |
Graduating in dentistry, makes one a participant of the professional. However, it should not be assumed that a dentist in necessarily a professional! A professional, in the truest sense, is one with all the aspects of what is ethical. The term, professional, refers to one who practices a learned professional, i.e., one who has special knowledge and skills used to benefit the public, regardless of personal gain. Becoming a professional is a lifelong process of consistent behaviour affirming the principles of your beliefs. This review, presents an insight into the aspect of professionalism and ethics pertaining to dentistry. |
